In terms of golf marketing, there is TaylorMade and everyone else. The company that really got the ball rolling with different colored drivers has been on a rampage the last few years of the golf industry, and with an excellent marketing team paired with some really cool golf clubs it’s been smooth sailing for TM.
Now comes the R1 (we reviewed the driver right here), and to celebrate Military Appreciation Day this week TaylorMade had drivers hand-delivered … from the air.
The Precision Skydiving Team flew through the air with TaylorMade branded parachutes, bringing drivers to Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia and other pros to give out to some of our combat-injured military.
It was a cool scene, with plenty of smiles and a fun experience for both the pros and the military personal that attended. I always wonder what is next for TaylorMade, and the creative team always surprises me with stuff I would have never thought of, including this.
