QUESTION:
I am an avid golfer, shooting consistently in the low forties. Recently i have been pushing or blocking my golf shots, as opposed to the slice I used to get. What causes a blocked golf shot and how can i fix it?

A blocked shot to the right is caused by an in to out swing (how dramatic is based on how badly it is pushed) and the club face is aiming, causing no slice or draw. So pretty much a straight shot to the right haha. Aim more to the left! Just kidding. You can fix this by raising your club plane, or getting into the “zone” on the down swing. Just be aware you don’t start coming over the top then! That causes a slice.
EDIT: Reply to the other guy, that is what I did. I had an in to out swing, but wasn’t releasing so I started. It ruined my game. I fixed it, and guess what? I dropped 35 (yes 35, I swear I am not lying) strokes because it was more natural and easy to do. You do NOT roll your wrists to release, that is one of the most misunderstood and killers of golf, which I found out, the stay square to the plane at all times and releaseing earlier is not keeping square. Please believe me on this. It will kill your game. It is called casting and will make you start to flip and hook it. I know that sounds bad, but its near permanent based on how long you do it for. Very hard to go back then. Learn how to release properly, not based on someone on yahoo telling you to release early. That will balloon your scores.
BTW nice name ;D
Hope this helps and may god bless you! ^_^
