The best answer is that there is no perfect answer.
Selecting golf clubs is a personal choice and because there are so many it difficult to choose without actually testing them out.
Almost every golf shop will allow you to return clubs so just go to a large, well known store, ask about their policy and have one of the golf pro's help you decide.
Personally I like a brand called Taylor Made and I buy all of my clubs slightly used.
