I started out with buying clubs first, from a thrift store. $ 35 including the bag. Your experience may vary. That was the cost right away, not counting green fees (which vary widely from one place to another), driving range costs, and any other clothing/accessories you want to buy. If you want to hire a pro to teach you, that'll set you back a couple of hundred.
