Q&A: How much does it cost to get into golf?

QUESTION: i snowboard in the winter, but i dont really have anything i do in the summer. I skateboard, but i kinda suck at it, and use it for transportation. i've golfed a couple times, (technically i was trespassing on the cource, cause i was joining my friends already on it) and im not half bad at it. how much does it cost to really get into golf, instead of trespassing and borrowing clubs now and then? just like anything, it depends on how much you want to spend...you can buy cheaper (good enough) clubs at Wal-Mart or Academy for about 150 bucks...or you can spend thousands of dollars buying the latest and "best" clubs and equipment. eBay has a lot of good used clubs you can buy...it is very addictive and you will justify in you own mind how much you are willing to spend based on your level of interest in the game....i got a whole set of brand new Taylor made irons for 350.00 on eBay...the green fees is what gets expensive over time....good luck....
