I think a golf practice net is a great way to build strength, but it’s not necessarily a good way to build technique.
The one drawback for a golf net is that you can’t see where the ball goes, since it’s going straight into a net! So you could be hitting a big slice, or a hook, etc etc.
But I still think a golf net is a great tool to have at home, because a lot of people won’t practice enough, because they find it difficult to find the time to go to the driving range!
SO, I recommend maybe using a golf training aid, along WITH a golf practice net. If you use the right type of training aid, you’ll be forced to swing correctly, and then you’ll be sure you are practicing correctly into the net.
I found a good site called http://www.bestgolfpracticenet.com that talks about just this…they talk about using a “Medicus” swing trainger along with a practice net.
Hope that helps!
Jeff
