How much does it cost for all golf equipment/where can I purchase it at a good price?

QUESTION: I want to give golf a try. Can you please tell me where I should look for good equipment, what brands I should look into and how much everything should cost me at most if I'm a beginner. It would be great if all the equipment could cost under $ 300, but I guess I could go as high as $ 500. Thanks a lot ANSWER:

Before you go out and spend that kind of money look into beginner group golf classes to make sure this is something you want to do. Golf is one of the most expenses sports there are. If you go out and spend money on clubs and find out that you hate it then you wasted that money, if you find that you love it then you will be replacing that set you just bough in 6 to 8 months. If you are dead set on buying a set check with local gold shops to see if that have any used clubs. If you are the type of guys that only wants new then try a sporting good store, just make sure to tell them you need a complete set (Bag, Irons, Woods, Putter) and you are a beginner. To give you a direct answer to your questioni: Any sporting goods store. If you have never heard of the company then don't buy it! Good Luck
