How long does it take to build a golf course ?

QUESTION: They are building a 9 hole golf course a few miles from my house. It looks like the layout, grading, ect has all been completed. How long does it take to then seed a golf course and have the grass be thick enough to play on? In other words, if they wanted to, do you think they can have this course ready for the 2010 season (May or June )? Thanks ANSWER:

It took 2 years with them working 5 days a week to finish the course in my neighborhood.
