How is 7 not a good handie cap in golf?

QUESTION: How is 7 not a good handie cap in golf when a 2 is qualifying for the US open? For someone who plays 5 times a week that's good in my eyes. What do you guys think? ANSWER:

a 7 handicap is very good considering 90% of players will never break 100. The reason its a 2 handicap to try and qualify for the US open is because its probably one of the biggest golf tournaments in the world, and also considering they probably get around 3-4 thousands applicant just into the qualifying. keep playing and maybe take a few lessons if you want to be even better.
