You need to play top quality competition, such as statewide junior golf tournaments, and travel to bigger events around the country. You will need to place high in your state high school championship and in these other big tournaments to attract attention from Division I schools, as well as top Division II and III programs. In essence, you need to be able to shoot par or better in competition. If you have competed well in events like this, contact the coaches at the schools and send them your playing resume, and set up a visit to the schools you are interested in possibly attending.
