Does anybody know how to play golf or swim at a country club without being a member?

QUESTION: I always want to play golf or swim at a country club, but I don't know any members from the country clubs. Does country club open once a while to non-members to let them try? Do they have events that allow non-members join with them and we can make some members friends? Is there any way that we can meet their members? ANSWER:

They are private by definition. They do not conduct events that are open to the public other than things like weddings, charity events, etc. that are invitation only.
