Once again I would like to talk about the power move in the golf swing and how to create it. The power move is created by swinging the handle of the club thus creating a delay in the club-head as it swings to the ball. This position is called Lag. Here is another great power drill to create Lag-the true power move in the swing. Take your setup position standing beside a wall, fence, or dome!! Preset your wrists so the club is about 6 inches away from the wall. Swing to the top of your backswing. Now from here, you have to avoid hitting the wall with the clubhead as you swing down to the ball. Meaning, you must swing the handle to create lag.. If you cast the clubhead you will hit the wall/fence/dome.. If you are concerned about damage to your wall, I would suggest flipping the club over and hanging onto the clubhead as apposed to the grip. This will give the same sensation but should avoid any property damage etc.. Watch the video on how to execute this drill as it is a NGA favourite.
