Talk about the difference a week makes in the life of a professional golfer. Tiger Woods started out his season in Abu Dhabi last week, and his first round gave us this ugly tee shot that barely went 150 yards.
On Thursday at Torrey Pines, Woods struggled after a birdie on the first hole, making double-bogey on No. 4 but then turned it on. Tiger made birdie on No. 5 and after hitting his second shot into the greenside bunker on the par-5 6th, went ahead and knocked that in for eagle out of the sand.
The eagle helped Woods start with a front nine 32, and things haven’t changed on the back nine.
