Vandals etch environmental activist slogans in turf at Trump's L.A.-area golf course

An environmental activist group vandalized President Donald Trump’s Los Angeles area golf course over the weekend, etching in the turf near the fifth green of Trump National Los Angeles with the slogan “No More Tigers; No More Woods” in 6-foot-tall letters.

The anonymous organization provided video of their exploits to The Washington Post. The video shows four people jumping the fence to the property and destroying some additional landscaping along the way.

“In response to the president’s recent decision to gut our existing protection policies, direct action was conceived and executed on the green of his California golf course in the form of a simple message: NO MORE TIGERS. NO MORE WOODS,” the group said in a statement to the Post.

Trump National Los Angeles is about 40 minutes outside of Los Angeles proper, located on prime seaside real estate in Rancho Palos Verdes. The club, formerly farm land, opened in 2000. It was to be site of the PGA of America’s now-defunct Grand Slam of Golf, but it was cancelled (as it turned out, for good) when then-candidate Trump made controversial remarks about Mexican immigrants.
