With the 2012 British Open in the books, it’s time to look back on the highs and lows from the tournament with some of the best photos from the day. Ernie Els, Adam Scott, Tiger Woods and Bubba Watson? Yep, they’re all on the list.
We highlight some of our favorites after the jump.
The putt that cost Adam Scott a spot in a playoff with Ernie Els. You have to feel for the guy.
Tiger Woods had to get on his hands and knees (literally) to hit this bunker shot on the par-4 6th hole. He ended up making triple bogey to fall out of contention early in the day.
After hitting his worst shot of the tournament on the par-5 11th, Graeme McDowell and a search party tried to locate his ball in the bushes. He couldn’t find it and went on to make bogey.
If you’re wondering why Bubba Watson wasn’t a factor on Sunday, it’s because he spent much of his round hitting out of the high grass.
If this guy was a big fan of Tiger Woods before the week, he likely wasn’t after Sunday. Woods’ roller coaster round kept the staff manning the leaderboard busy during the final day.
