Dating back to 2001 and for most of that time since, I’ve hosted a weekly golf podcast called “The 19th Hole Golf Show.” It’s evolved and mutated over the years in format, topics and the like, but it’s now a 25-minute show in which I cover an important topic or several topics in the game. This year, I’m hoping you’ll tune in and join the conversation.
On this week’s “The 19th Hole Golf Show,” I look at the kick off of the 2015 golf year with the PGA Tour’s winners-only Hyundai Tournament of Champions and the South Africab Open on the European Tour. I discuss potential favorites at Kapalua, including Matt Kuchar, Bubba Watson, Jason Day and others.
Also, I wonder why Ernie Els, who is playing host this week in his native country, cares about winning an elusive Masters but not an elusive PGA Championship.
Finally, I break down Tiger Woods’ apparent decision to kick off 2015 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, why he made that call and what it might mean for his year.
