Sure, the world may be burning down, but why not get in a few holes while you can?
These stunning photos, first found on Facebook and Reddit and authenticated by Golf News Net, show a blaze in the Pacific Northwest raging in the hills above the Beacon Rock Golf Course in Bonneville, Washington.
The wildfire, last estimated at 16 square miles, began in Oregon, apparently as a result of a teenager’s fireworks. The fire jumped the Columbia River Gorge from Oregon into Washington, and is one of several fires that has prompted air quality warnings across the Pacific Northwest. The fire has forced the closure of a 30-mile stretch of Interstate 84.
