Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki might have split up because of a tweet

If reports are true, Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki might finally be done, but for a reason you probably didn’t expect.

McIlroy and Wozniacki dated for over two years, but if the Irish Independent’s report is legit the two are no longer a couple thanks to a picture that Wozniacki tweeted out of McIlroy taking a nap with his mouth wide open and his glasses still on.

Friends say a photograph posted by Caroline on Twitter, which showed her boyfriend in a deep sleep, was one of the final straws for the number-one golfer. One source said: “Rory was very upset by it and even Serena Williams pointed out – albeit in a joking way – it was a pretty mean thing to do.”

The relationship ended days after the picture had been posted to millions of fans online. But friends say Caroline is still struggling to accept that the pair have split up.

This is definitely not the first time we’ve heard of these two having relationship problems, but each time a new report or source pops up one of the two normally take to Twitter to defend their relationship. McIlroy and Wozniacki have been quiet so far about the new report, so if silence is enough to legitimize the claim then there might actually be some truth behind this one.
