Phil Mickelson hit a ridiculous flop shot during his second round at TPC Boston

There are plenty of words you could use to describe Phil Mickelson’s golf game, but predictable would not be one of them.

The guy shot a 63 on Friday at the Deutsche Bank Championship but had to hit a shot on his final hole out of the woods, saving a bogey to keep his low round intact. On Friday the game wasn’t as tight but that didn’t stop Mickelson from giving us a show with the wedges.

The man with the best set of hands in the world was in trouble on the par-3 11th hole on Saturday at TPC Boston, with his ball sitting in a nasty lie to the right of the green, but that was no problem for Mickelson, who hit a ridiculous flop shot that landed about seven feet past the hole and spun back to just a few inches.

The results brought back memories of that playoff chip shot Phil hit earlier this season to win the Scottish Open, and Phil simply reminds us again that there isn’t a spot he can’t save par from.
