Paula Creamer made incredible 75-foot putt to win HSBC Women’s Championship

Paula Creamer might be one of the biggest names on the LPGA, but before Sunday it had been a long, long time since she last raised a trophy.

Creamer’s win at the 2010 U.S. Women’s Open looked like a jumping off point for her career, but 79 events later and Creamer was still without a win. That changed on Sunday at the HSBC Women’s Championship in Singapore when Creamer drained an incredible 75-foot putt on her second playoff hole for an eagle and the victory over Azahara Munoz.

The putt, one of the most dramatic you will ever see, was in such a bad spot on the 18th green that even the announcers were pushing for a two-putt and a birdie to extend the playoff. But just as the putt got to the top of the hill, it looked like it might have a chance to disappear, and it just continued to break at the end to hit the middle of the hole and drop.

Creamer called her 10th LPGA victory “one of my favorite wins,” and if nothing else it will definitely go down as one of the best final putts in the history of the LPGA.

Also, her reaction was exactly what it should have been for a putt of that length to drop.
