There had never been a hole-in-one in the five-year history of the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic, but that changed on Sunday thanks to Nick Price.
Price was not having his best week at the Champions Tour stop, but he came to the par-3 14th hole hoping to make one swing and one swing only. Price’s ball was right on line, landed a few feet short and went in for the first ever ace at this event, helping him finish the week with a 1-over 73.
It was a very nice 9-iron from the three-time major winner and a great highlight from the tour’s stop in Mississippi.
