Jordan Spieth said his goal was to win the Masters when he was only 14

This week in golf has focused a lot on an 11-year-old girl who qualified for the Women’s U.S. Open, so maybe Jordan Spieth at 14 is a bit veteran, but it’s still pretty cool.

This video of Spieth as a kid (well, more than the kid he is now) surfaced courtesy of @eurogolfpreview and it shows Spieth as a 14-year-old talking about his long-term goals.

Mainly, the one about winning the Masters. Spieth, now 20, was in contention at Augusta National a month ago, vying for not only his first major championship but a first green jacket in his first ever start at the Masters.

Spieth finished T-2, respectable of course for someone so young on his first go around Augusta, but it’s pretty cool to see a 14-year-old Spieth speak of something that a 20-year-old Spieth nearly pulled off.
