If Bubba Watson was looking for a night on the couch, he nearly got it with this second shot during his second round match at the Accenture Match Play.
Bubba badly pulled his second shot on the long par-5 11th, and the ball bounced and bounded right at his wife Angie (in the stripped shirt) before stopping just a few inches from her feet.
Angie, one of the nicer people you'll meet on tour, gave Bubba the "safe" sign as plenty of forecaddies do, and while Watson wasn't exactly pleased with his approach shot on the par-5, this will be one they can chuckle at after the round especially since Bubba was able to take down Jonas Blixt.
If a professional usually signs a golf glove for golf shots that hit casual fans, what do they sign if they hit their own wife? I'm guessing the blank check for whatever they want to go buy that evening in the Tucson foothills, but that's just a guess.
Watson now faces little known Victor Dubuisson on Friday in the third round, hoping to advance to the round of eight for the second time in his career.
