You know who is excited about the Valero Texas Open? Billy Horschel, a guy looking for his first PGA Tour win of his career. You know who else is excited? This guy, who picked Horschel to win before the event started, hopefully breaking a horrible start to my picks this PGA Tour season.
Horschel finished T-2 last week in Houston and took full advantage of a tough weather day on Saturday at TPC San Antonio by posting a third round 70 that included this chip-in on the par-4 10th.
Horschel will have to fend off names like Jim Furyk and Rory McIlroy to snag this thing on Sunday, but if he holds on, he might just be the hottest golfer not named Tiger Woods in the game heading into the Masters.
