Does anyone know what paint is used to write the letters on the heads of golf clubs, the paint is white and a kind of rubbery putty like material. I can’t find it on the internet because i don’t know the proper name. I want it to restore the lettering on my own clubs.

If the head was stamped the manufacturers used to just rub a little enamel into the stamp and wipe it off. You are probably describing what happens to a decal when its subjected to paint remover. Decals are usually available from Golfsmith or Golfworks two of the major suppliers to the repair industry check out their web sites for more info.
