Is 32 a decent golf handicap? Do you think taking classes may help me to improve my game?

QUESTION:
My handicap is 32. I don’t get to play much so I guess it’s ok for the time I spent in golf. My dad says I can get to 24 with more practice and some classes. What do you think?

32 is almost double bogey golf…. that is getting into triple digit scores…. which is pretty bad.

A decenct handicap would be bogey golf… about an 18. Anything below 9 would be considered a pretty good handicap.
