QUESTION:
I’m a 15 year old girl on my high school’s golf team. I’ve been golfing for a few years but I’m not that good and we can’t afford professional help at the moment. My biggest problem is hitting irons. I hit inconsistently – the ball might go in the air, stay on the ground, go left or right, go short, go far. Not consistent at all. How can I make better contact and how can I train myself to hit down on it?

Hey, Well it would be very difficult to see what you are doing wrong without seeing you in person. However to hit down on the ball helps promote a better strike from the ball, it also puts more spin on the ball.
Anyway, trying putting the ball further back in your stance with your hands forward, this will help promote you to hit down on the ball which may help your striking.
Good luck & remember your only 15, few years and you;ll be awesome, just work hard on what feels right!!!
