Observers thought IBM CEO Virginia “Ginni” Rometty would be the first female member of Augusta National Golf Club. It had practically become tradition for the head of Big Blue to don a green jacket. But when the home of the Masters admitted its first female members in 2012, Rometty wasn’t one of them.
All in good time, apparently, as Rometty is now a member of Augusta National. Golf Digest reports Rometty bas joined former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and financier Darla Moore as the club’s female membership.
Rometty has little time to play golf, according to the report, so she carries a handicap index of around 35.
