It was quite the adventure for Jason Day early on at the PGA Championship. The 26-year-old Australian was in the final group with Rory McIlroy, but hit an errant tee shot on the second hole and was forced to take off his shoes and wade across a river to hit his second shot.
Day did that, hitting his shot barefoot out of the thick grass back in play but he didn’t stop there. Day pitched his third shot to about 15 feet, and rolled that putt in for an incredible, incredible par.
If Day goes on to win his first major championship at Valhalla, it’ll be this moment we look back on as one of the most important of his entire week at the final major of 2014.
