The champion of the Accenture Match Play on Sunday was Jason Day, but he wasn’t the only winner of the week.
That went to runner-up Victor Dubuisson, a man that many didn’t even know existed before the week began in Arizona but played himself past some hefty competition to make it to the finals in the World Golf Championships match play event.
Dubuission might not have been a star before Sunday, but these two recovery shots he hit out of the desert at Dove Mountain were reason for any golf fan to stand up and cheer.
The Frenchman couldn’t hold off Day, a man many believed would have a huge year in 2014, but it was Dubuission who really left Marana with plenty of new fans and some nifty chip shots that we won’t soon forget.
