When watching golf week to week, it can sometimes be easy to forget just how talented the pros are — and how much better at golf than we could ever even hope to be.
So, let’s put things back into perspective.
Dustin Johnson was recently taking part in a commercial shoot for his sponsor TaylorMade at Mountain Gate Country Club in Los Angeles. And during these shoots, the players are asked to do all kinds of things so that the producers have plenty of footage to cobble together an enticing, entertaining ad. Perhaps as a bit of a joke, someone asks Johnson to hit a shot right to the cameraman located just behind the green.
Johnson was apparently taking requests (footage via TaylorMade).
The takeaway? Next time you see a pro hit a bad shot under big pressure with a lot of money on the line, remember how much harder it is to perform in that situation and what these players are capable of when they can just freewheel it.
