2014 British Open odds have Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy the favorites

The British Open kicks off this Thursday from Royal Liverpool, and while Tiger Woods will be in the field at a major championship for the first time this season, he isn’t the favorite to win tournament.

Bovada has set Justin Rose and Rory McIlroy as the two favorites at Hoylake at 14-to-1, with Adam Scott and Henrik Stenson right behind them at 16-to-1. Tiger still comes in at 18-to-1, higher than the U.S. Open champion and the defending champion of this event, so the sports books still see him playing well on a golf course he has won on before when the Open was held here in 2006.
